Annie Besant (1847–1933) was a British lecturer, writer and social reformer who became president of the international Theosophical Society in 1907. Charles Webster Leadbeater (1854–1934) was a British Theosophist and prolific writer whose clairvoyant accounts of subtle bodies and thought-forms were influential in later Theosophical imagery. Their work is presented here as historical Theosophical writing, not as established scientific or medical knowledge.
